Most of South Africa's finest player will take part in the match in a star-studded affair however Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris have pulled out of the event due to personal reasons. The three sides named Eagles, Kites, and Kingfishers will be led by AB de Villiers, Quinton De Kock, and Reeza Hendricks respectively.

What are the rules of the 3T format?

Such is the uniqueness of the tournament that its rules have left cricket fans around the globe confused. In essence, each team consists of eight players. All three sides will compete in one match consisting a total of 36 overs on Saturday. Each side will get the oppertunity to bat once for 12 overs facing six overs each from the other two teams.

Interestingly, in the case of a team losing seven wickets, the 'not-out' batsman can continue batting alone but can only score runs in even numbers like two, four, and six. However, if a team lose their first seven wickets in the first six overs of their innings then their innings will end immediately and the non-striker will not get to continue his innings.

Of the combined 12 overs, a side has to bowl, one bowler is allowed a maximum of three overs each. Moreover, one team has to complete their entire quota of 12 overs with a single-ball.

The sequence of the match will go in a bat, bowl, and dugout order meaning a team will have to field immediately after completing their batting and then head to the pavilion once their fielding is over. The order of which team will bat first will be determined by a random draw.

If rain plays spoilsport, the game can only be reduced to 18, 24, or 30 overs.

How will the winner be determined?

After the match, the team with the most runs will be awarded a gold position, the second-most with Silver and the third one with a bronze. In the case of two sides being level on runs, they will compete in a super-over to determine who gets the gold. However, if all three-teams end with the same total, all of them will be given a gold. In the situation that the second and third are equal, both will get the silver.
