TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020:"UNITED BY EMOTION" MOTTO OF TOKYO OLYMPICS
The Tokyo 2020 organising committee has revealed the official games motto:"United by Emotion."
The motto emphasises the power of sport to bring together people from diverse backgrounds of every kind and allow them to connect and celebrate.
The official olympic motto is "Citius,Altius,Fortius" or "Faster,Higher,Stronger",but each host city chooses its own motto to accompany that edition of the games.

The motto will be displayed on the iconic Tokyo Skytree,the Japanese capitals tallest landmark,from monday until March 25,the day before the torch relay begins.
MIRAITOWA |
The official mascot of the Tokyo 2020 summer olympic games is a smiling,futuristic creature named Miraitowa.
The mascot which resembles both superhero and a robot gets its name from the Japanese words"mirai"(meaning future) and "towa"(meaning eternity).
The name was chosen to promote a future of eternal hope in the hearts of people all over the world.
Miraitowa's creation came as aresult of the input of over 75% of Japanese elementary schools,who voted for the favorite mascot designs.

The Tokyo 2020 paralympic mascot name was revealed as Someity which comes from someiyoshino a popular cherry blossom variety and additionally echoes the english phrare"so mighty."
ABOUT TOKYO OLYMPICS
The Tokyo olympics kick off with opening ceremonies on July 24, and extend across more than two weeks ending Aug 9.
The games will be held in more than 40 venues the majority in and around Tokyo with some events for Soccer,Baseball and Softball further afield.
The new National stadium is built on the site of the old stadium in the Heritage zone,in Tokyo's Shinjuku district in the outer garden of the Meiji Shrine.
The new sports at the 2020 olympics are sport climbing,Surfing,Skateboarding and Karatewith Baseball and Softball returning for the first time since Beijing in 2008.
The International Olympics Committee recognizes 2005 countries but the world antidoping agency issued a ban on Russia's participation in the Tokyo Games.
