Jiri Vesely Become Champion At Tata Open Maharastra
Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic won the singles title of Tata Open Maharastra by defeating Egor Gerasimov of Belarus who played his first final.Vesely defeated the Gerasimov 7-6(7-2),5-7,6-3 in the tournament played on sunday at the Mahalunga Balewadi stadium in Pune.
Vesely won the final of the tournament for $546,355. Vesely won the first set of the match,7-6.At one time both were at 5-5, and then both were tied at 6-6, then the set went to a tie-breaker, where Vesely won 7-2.
The second set also a fierce competition between the two players. At one point the two were tied at 5-5, but Gerasimov first took a 6-5 lead and then won the set at 7-5 to make the match a thirilling and decisive set. However, Vesely won 6-3 in the deciding set.
Vesely defeated second-seed Ricardas Berankis 6-7(8-10),7-6(7-3),7-6(9-7) in the first semifinal, while in second semifinal Gerasimov beat James Duckworth.
Earlier, Christopher Rungkat and Andre Goransson defeating Jonathan Erlich and Andrei Vasilevski 6-2,3-6,(10-8). Both are performed brilliantly to win the doubles title of the tournament.
